About Us
WhoYouWant2Be.org is a program of Centerstone, the nation’s largest provider of community-based behavioral healthcare. Centerstone, a not-for-profit company, is devoted to the development and provision of effective prevention and education programs for children, youth, families, schools, and communities. Our Prevention Services have provided effective prevention programs to Middle Tennesseans since the mid 1980s with programs focusing on alcohol and drug abuse prevention, social skill enhancement, violence prevention, STD and teen pregnancy prevention, and character development programs.
The programs are fun, educational, and easily accessible to all participants, with the primary education component delivered in the school classroom setting. Centerstone’s goal is to identify and intervene with children and youth who have been identified as having, or are at-risk for developing, unhealthy behaviors and emotions.
The programs are funded in part by the Tennessee Department of Health, Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities, Tennessee Department of Education, Metropolitan Nashville Public Health Department, and the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
